Nestled in Ascension Parish, Gonzales is a cultural hot spot and Jambalaya Capital of the World. The area also happens to have a unique climate that presents challenges when it comes to insulating homes and businesses. This type of climate can increase energy costs while reducing the comfort of indoor environments and energy efficiency in new and existing buildings. Blown-in cellulose insulation offers a natural solution to these challenges and is a great choice for the Gonzales area. This Link: https://gonzinsulation.com
Health Benefits: Improved Indoor Air Quality with Spray Foam
How Does Spray Foam Insulation Work?
The job of insulation is to resist the transfer of heat in or out of a space. A home or business that is well insulated will be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Typically, fiberglass or cellulose insulation is used in residential homes and commercial buildings. However, spray foam insulation is a more efficient and effective option.
Professional contractors use a special rig to mix and spray the chemicals that create the spray foam. The chemicals are in two separate containers called A-side and B-side. When the A-side and the B-side are mixed together they chemically react to form the foam. The foam is sprayed into attics, crawl spaces, rim joist and open walls in old and existing houses as well as basement rim joist, overhangs (or cantilevers), knee walls and pole barns.
During the spraying process and while it is curing, the spray foam can off-gas volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is recommended that homeowners vacate the home during the installation process. Once cured, the spray foam is safe to be exposed to by occupants.
